My name is Rob Tweed. I'm the author of both M/DB and M/DBX and have been a practitioner in the use of GT.M and similar NoSQL databases for over 15 years. My company, M/Gateway Developments Ltd is based in the UK and specialises in web and internet enabling technologies. We designed and built the web gateway and original web application development technology for the Cache' database from InterSystems (www.intersystems.com), and we provide consulting, training and support services to customers primarily in the healthcare and financial services sectors. My main focus is our EWD Ajax development framework (see http://www.mgateway.com/ewdDemo.html), but M/DB and M/DBX have been interesting recent areas of diversification.
M/DB is soon to be a part of the Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud range of services, providing them with the emulation of the SimpleDB API that is otherwise missing from their Eucalyptus-based range of services, so its profile is likely to increase significantly in 2010.
Previous speaking experience includes numerous appearances at AjaxWorld and Cloud Computing in the USA, in addition to many presentations at InterSystems' Developers Conference. I also presented at the London CloudCamp in July this year.
